Meet Our Team

Randolph Floyd, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, is a business executive with extensive experience in product development and operations management. At Merck & Co. he was Vice President, Project Planning and Development at the company’s Medco unit, overseeing the unit’s new product development portfolio. In Merck’s core pharmaceutical business, he led a variety of complex global initiatives. As a senior advisor at global management consultancy AlixPartners, he defined and implemented business strategy and transformation in the pharmaceutical industry and other life sciences sectors. He earned AB (chemistry) and MBA degrees from the University of Chicago.

David Kaplan MD, PhD, Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer, is the inventor of the CellPrint™ technology platform. He has been a professor of pathology at Case Western Reserve University and served as the director of diagnostic immunology for University Hospitals Case Medical Center. David has published over 70 manuscripts in journals including Science, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Blood, FASEB Journal, Journal of Experimental Medicine, Journal of Immunology, Journal of Virology, and Cancer Research. He has chaired review committees for NIH and the American Cancer Society and served on the editorial board of several scientific journals. David earned MD and PhD degrees from the University of Chicago and served as a postdoctoral fellow at Washington University.

Nicholas Kaye PhD, Research Director, has been supporting the development and application of the CellPrint™ platform since 2009. He received his Ph.D. from Case Western Reserve University’s Center for RNA Molecular Biology in the laboratory of Dr. Michael Harris, focusing on defining the universal structural and chemical properties of enzyme active sites. He completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Biochemistry at Case Western Reserve University with Dr. Eckhard Jankowsky, where he elucidated the earliest events of mRNA recognition by the ribosome.

Eric Christian PhD, Project Manager, joined the company in 2014 to support the development and application of the CellPrint™ platform. He received his Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. His professional background includes postdoctoral fellowships at the Institute of Molecular and Cellular Biology (IBMC) in Strasbourg, France and Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), two years clinical training at the CWRU School of Medicine, and 16 years in academic research.
